PINGU SMALL
An elegant decorative element and a multifunctional vase
In the ocean, the emperor penguin looks more like a dolphin than a bird. Powerful, fluid, it comes out of the depths like a torpedo, glides skilfully over the ice, gets up and ends up standing on its feet. Transformed into a clumsy walker, the bird now finds itself at the mercy of the slightest obstacle. So what reason or destiny prompts this funny bird to leave the frozen water in which it moves so gracefully? Only one, primordial and essential reason: the survival of its species. But in the Antarctic, eligible places are rare, because in winter the sea freezes over a width of 100 to 200 kilometres around the continent. On one side is the north (the frozen sea, the ocean and its food), on the other is the south (the deserted but stable ice shelf). Between the two, there is the walking emperor. Walking in winter through hundreds of kilometres of danger. Walking ceaselessly between food and his hungry child... Luc Jacquet "March of the Penguins".
This splendid sculpture pays homage to one of the most iconic and representative animals of the Antarctic world.
An elegant piece of furniture, but also a beautiful and spacious pot to house your plants.
Also available in the larger TALL version: collect them both.
