IBIS
Elegant tealight but also multifunctional sculpture
One of the sacred birds of ancient Egypt is represented with this splendid multifunctional blown glass sculpture.
This bird was much loved because it was a destroyer of snakes and considered to be such a powerful amulet and spirit guide that it was embalmed to accompany Egyptian nobles into the grave.
It is an elegant, multifunctional candle holder or vase that grows vertically thanks to its steel legs coated with gold powder.
Simply insert a candle holder, and it can be used as a hall lantern: the coloured glass generates striking floating colour effects, shining with vibrant colours. It can also accommodate decorative elements, flowers, be decorated with fruit (suitable for food contact) or as containers for important objects.
But before its functional use, IBIS is above all a fascinating modern work of art with elegant slender legs that firmly and securely support the large round blown glass body available in three different colours.
The simple elegance that catches the eye of the observer is in the symmetry between the head and tail, giving this sculpture a unique and unmistakable style.
Delicate and innovative colours have been chosen for this work. The body of the peach-coloured model is decorated with a dark grey stripe, while the one in light mint green is surrounded by a beige line; the third model in soft pinkish grey is crossed by a purple stripe.
All these shades have been chosen to make the light effects generated by the candles look wonderful.
